The free instant audit is an automated digital due diligence snapshot of one target or portfolio company, built from public information. It checks marketing and search well, and parts of competition, customer experience and technology. It does not review cybersecurity or compliance; those need a scoping call and, for anything inside the target, authorization.

What does the free instant audit check, and what does it leave out?
It checks marketing and search well, and parts of competition, customer experience and technology. It does not review cybersecurity or compliance. Those need a scoping call and, for anything inside the target, authorization.

- 06Compliance & RiskWhere do consent, privacy or accessibility rules create exposure? Not in the free audit
The six areas are the same ones a deep dive covers; see private equity due diligence for the full method.
Does the target know we ran the audit?
The audit does not contact or notify the target. It only fetches the target’s public pages and other public information, as a search engine or a visitor would.
Customer-side tests such as mystery shops are not part of the free audit. They run only in a deep dive, agreed with the sponsor and within the deal’s NDA. For the full pre-bid method, see diligence before LOI.
What happens to the URL you enter?
The audit uses it to collect public information about that website. It does not ask for access to the target’s systems, and you do not upload any records.
- Result pages are blocked to search engines in robots.txt.
- Instant results appear on the page while the audit runs; no email is needed for them.
- The full automated report needs your email and phone, so we can send it.
How to do a due diligence report?
Collect evidence against a fixed set of questions, score every finding on one model, and say plainly what the evidence could not show. The free audit does the first part for marketing, search and CX; a deep dive does all of it across six areas.
- ScopeDeal question, markets and peers
- CollectPublic evidence: sites, search, ads, reviews
- TestMystery shops and an external exposure review
- RankEvery finding scored on impact, effort, confidence and scope
- Deliver100-day plan, risk register, scorecard
Collect, test and rank Marketing and CX: partial readout within hours, initial audit in 24–72 hours.
The work can start before LOI, during exclusivity or after close.
Each step closes with a sponsor sign-off. We agree the timetable for the other areas at scoping. Missing evidence is never scored as a failure.
Penetration testing runs only on request, with authorization.
What is a red flag due diligence report?
A short report of the findings that could change price or terms. The free audit flags marketing and CX issues; a deep dive ranks red flags across all six areas, each with evidence and an owner.
What we can’t see from outside
- Conversion rate and acquisition cost
- Revenue by channel
- Answer rate across all calls
Each is listed with the record that would answer it. Missing evidence is never scored as a failure.
What are some examples of due diligence documents?
The ones a deal team usually asks for are the financial statements, contracts, the management presentation and the data room index. Outside-in work adds evidence the target did not prepare: screenshots, search results, listings, ad records and timed test inquiries.
Our deep dives end in three documents: a 100-day plan, a prioritized risk register and a scorecard. Prices start from the free audit; see pricing.
