CFP and its employees put actions to these words beyond merely writing out a donation. Here are but a few of the local agencies in which we share a 'serving' relationship. CFP employees are heavily involved with the Blue Ridge Community Food Bank. Through various fundraising drives & events and through periodic food collections, the Food Bank has been able to feed the men, women and children of the Shenandoah Valley who desperately need their help. These efforts also extend far beyond families living within our communities, as most recently evidenced through the assistance provided to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. In addition to the Community Food Bank, our employees actively work with the area Salvation Army. Each year, CFP generously participates in their 'Adopt a Family' program. Profiles are provided as guidance for each child because the intent is to give local children, young and old, the holiday they normally would not have had. Focusing on our employee's concern for the environment, CFP has recently been accepted into Virginia's Adopt-a-Highway cleanup program. This entails periodic grounds- keeping efforts covering the four access & exit ramps off I-81 that are part of the interchange servicing our community as well as stretches of the State Roads leading to our plant.
