Methodology

AI Impact Scores for each element are derived by computing a weighted average of the AI exposure scores of all occupations that use that element. The weights are proportional to the element's importance and level within each occupation — so an element that is critically important at a high level to highly-automated occupations scores highest. Occupation AI exposure data combines O*NET task routine-intensity, the academic AIOE index, and BLS employment projections.
