Terms
Terms of use
Effective date: October 29, 2026
Agreement
These terms cover the free instant CX audit run by MEO Advisors ("MEO", "we", "us") at /audit. By using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it. If you use it for a company, you confirm that you can accept these terms for that company.
What the service is
The instant audit is a free, automated look at how easy it is to reach a business through its public website and public listing. It reads public pages and public data sources, and it shows each finding with its source and the date we collected it. The website check does not call, message, chat with or submit a form to the business. A phone test is a separate optional service with its own agreement for one AI call, recording and delivery to the email you enter. It does not authorize further contacts or marketing.
What the service isn't
- Not advice. Results are general information. They are not legal, regulatory, compliance, accessibility, medical or other professional advice.
- Not a compliance determination. Automated checks flag common issues; they are not a legal or ADA compliance determination. Accessibility results come from automated tests against part of WCAG on a few pages. They miss issues that need human review and can report issues that aren't real.
- A sample at a date. Each result describes the pages and sources we could read when we collected them. Sites change. A result can be incomplete, out of date or wrong.
- "Not visible" is not a failure. When robots.txt, a bot challenge, an outage or a missing listing stops us from checking something, we say so instead of guessing.
- Grades are provisional. Grades follow the published methodology. They show as provisional until MEO finishes its review of the checks. A grade measures how easy it is to reach the business. It doesn't judge the quality of the business, its services or its people.
Acceptable use
You may audit any public business website, whether or not you own it. A phone test requires separate authorization and the phone-test agreement. Entering a published number or matching email domain does not establish authority to act for the business. You agree not to:
- overload, attack or disrupt the service or any website through it;
- scrape, copy in bulk or automate the service, or use it to build a competing product or dataset;
- get around rate limits, the human check, blocklists or other safeguards, for example by rotating addresses or using scripts;
- try to reach private systems, another visitor's private contact details, consent records or recordings, or other data you aren't allowed to see;
- enter personal health information, login credentials or another person's sensitive information;
- present a result as MEO's endorsement, certification or legal finding, or change a result and present it as ours;
- use a result to harass, threaten, extort or mislead anyone;
- break any law.
Limits and our right to refuse
To keep the service free and fair, we limit how many audits each address and each network can run in an hour and in a day. We also cap total daily use. We may refuse, delay, queue or stop any audit, block domains whose owners have opted out, and suspend access when we think it is needed to protect the service or other people. We may change, pause or end the service at any time.
Results and share links
Completed retained reports and their PDFs are public at the report URL. Anyone with that URL can read them without a browser session or a separate share link. Unfinished and failed audit pages remain private to the requesting browser. Public reports exclude visitor contact details, private notes and receipts, consent records, full phone-test numbers, recordings and recording links; they may show published business phone numbers and a safe phone summary with a masked number. Reading a report grants no authority to act for another visitor.
Revoking or expiring a legacy share token stops only that token; it does not remove access through the public report URL or other active tokens, and does not recall downloaded copies. Legacy tokens can expire before report deletion. The report's copy control copies the canonical public URL; it does not create or revoke a token. Separate phone-test records and recordings have no automatic deletion date; see the privacy notice. If someone else audits the same site within 24 hours, they may see the same website result.
Optional contact requests
The expanded free CX audit is our self-service product. Your report is not gated by a contact request. Each visitor to a completed retained report can optionally send their own name, work email and note to Josh and Hunter at MEO Advisors, with the required Terms/Privacy acknowledgement. Contact receipts are private to the submitting visitor's browser capability. The original requester retains its existing eligibility for a failed audit. A contact request starts no audit, snapshot, phone test, inquiry or customer confirmation email and reserves no meeting. A request does not guarantee acceptance, timing or a result.
The current contact form collects no company, referral source, mobile number or SMS consent. Historical contact acknowledgements and optional SMS consent proof remain unchanged. They are separate from the optional phone test’s agreement and enable no SMS dispatch in this service. Legacy contact-snapshot interfaces retain their separate agreement for one call and one contact-form inquiry.
Ownership
MEO owns the service, its software, design, methodology, scoring and the format of the results. You may use, print and share your results, with their dates and sources, for your own business purposes, including with the audited business. Screenshots and facts about a business's website come from that business's public pages. We don't claim to own the business's content, and you need permission to use that content beyond what the law allows. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
Third-party websites and data
Results include information from websites and services that MEO doesn't control, such as the audited site, Google and DataForSEO. We aren't responsible for their content, accuracy or availability. Links to other sites are for convenience.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service and its results are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, MEO disclaims all express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness and non-infringement. We don't promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any result will be correct. Please check findings with the people responsible for the site before you act on them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, MEO and its owners, employees and contractors won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from the service or any result, even if we were told they were possible. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim about it is limited to US$100. Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Indemnity
If you break these terms or misuse a result and someone brings a claim against MEO because of it, you agree to cover MEO's reasonable losses and costs from that claim.
Business owners
If your business was audited and you think a finding is wrong, email hello@meoadvisors.com with the audited website and the finding. We'll review it and correct or remove the result if it is wrong. To stop future instant audits of your site, use /audit/crawler or use robots.txt to restrict ordinary crawls. A matching business-email domain can allow an override for that run and domain only; it never bypasses a bot challenge or a crawler opt-out.
Governing law
New York law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts in New York County, New York, and you and MEO agree to those courts' jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date at the top when we do. Changes apply from that date, and continuing to use the service means you accept them.
General
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term, we haven't waived it. These terms and the privacy notice are the whole agreement about the instant audit.
