What we know about Storyland Studios

What they do

Mark Harrington started Storyland Studios in 1996. Originally, the shop focused on the plaster and stucco business. As with most small businesses, we took on projects no matter the challenge. One time a project called for the production of 25 human-sized Styrofoam balls. At the time, we didn't know how to make them ourselves. But did that stop us? No! We put on our scrappy hats, summoned all of our creative energy, and figured out how to make them in house! Now the sky is the limit when it comes to turning ideas and dreams into reality! Some tools we use to create those realities are: sculpting, painting, wood and composites fabrication, metal fabrication, vacuum forming, mold and FRP fabrication, spray urethane, rotational molding, and 3D file scanning and printing. At Storyland Studios we believe in family, integrity, responsibility, and excellence. Whether you are a client or an employee, when you join our team, you join our family, we have a place here for you. There's no room for anything less than full honesty in our studio. We own up to our mistakes as much as our successes. What we start, we finish and you have our full attention, from the moment we meet until the end of each project. We never overlook even the smallest details, your project will live as another example of our impeccable standard of quality. We exist to do the Remarkable! At Storyland Studios, we believe in working hard and making the highest quality products to delight and inspire our clients.

5 agent deployments worth exploring for Storyland Studios

Automated Material Procurement and Inventory Optimization

For a mid-size studio managing diverse fabrication projects, manual procurement is a significant bottleneck. Fluctuating costs in raw materials like resins, metals, and composites require constant price monitoring. Without automated oversight, teams often over-order or face delays due to supply chain gaps. By deploying AI agents to monitor vendor pricing and stock levels, Storyland Studios can reduce waste, ensure just-in-time material availability, and protect margins against sudden market price spikes, which is critical for maintaining the high-quality standards expected by clients while keeping project budgets competitive.

The agent integrates with existing ERP and inventory systems to track usage rates of raw materials. It autonomously monitors supplier portals for price fluctuations and lead times. When stock hits a reorder threshold, the agent generates purchase orders for approval, suggests alternative suppliers during shortages, and reconciles invoices against delivery manifests, significantly reducing manual data entry.

Generative Design-to-Fabrication Workflow Automation

Translating creative concepts into technical fabrication files is time-intensive. Engineers often spend hours manually converting 3D scans or client sketches into machine-ready formats. This manual translation is prone to human error and limits the studio's throughput. AI agents can bridge the gap between creative intent and technical output by automating the generation of toolpaths and material cut-lists. This allows the team to iterate faster and handle higher project volumes without sacrificing the impeccable quality that defines the firm's legacy.
